A Nightingale in the Sycamore by Kathleen Jarvis

Just for authors:  Many years ago in Suffolk U.K. Kathleen Jarvis, a Vicars wife wrote this book ‘A Nightingale in the Sycamore.’ My Grandmother’s mentioned in it, and my Dad’s rabbits – it is a priceless keepsake in our family. Writing is a work of love; remember you might not make a fortune, and however few books sell you have still done it! Someone will remember you and hold a copy of your book precious.

    Hi Susan
Just found your review of my mother’s book, A Nightingale in the Sycamore, in which your family appears along with mine.
I was born in Little Bealings in 1947, the third child to David and Kathleen Jarvis.
My mother died here in Wales in 2006 at the age of 89. She kept writing well into her 80s. Thank you for your lovely comments. I still have my copy as well, along with the books she wrote later, when we were living in London.
What took you to the USA? We’re you a GI bride?

      Hi Rosie,
Thank you so much for contacting me, my dad was so pleased when he heard about your mother.
I will look up the rest of the books your mother wrote.
I do not live in the USA, this website is used mainly for American books which is why it’s USA orientated.
I actually live in France but all the rest of the family live in the UK including my daughter Michelle who is graduating from Bangor University this year.
If you would like to send me any more information about your mother I would love to receive it, my email address is t8apot@aol.co.uk
Once again, thank you so much!
      Susan
