Let’s Talk: …About Making Your Life Exciting, Easier, And Exceptional by Art Rios

NEW RELEASE

An enlightening and inspirational self-help book.

Art Rios, the author of this motivating and inspirational self-help book is not only an author, and lawyer, but he also teaches at Stetson Law and enjoys spending time with his wife Sharon and two daughters Maria and Alondra.

You can feel the author’s enthusiasm for life pulsing from the pages as he, through them, fulfills his dream of helping people live exciting, easier, and exceptional lives.   The emphasis throughout the book is to live your life to your best and happiest you can now, not to plan for later, but now, because as we all know tomorrow is not guaranteed.

As a trial lawyer, he has had plenty of time over the years to ‘people watch,’ study how they behave in good and bad situations and has used these experiences as a ‘student of humanity,’ to follow his dream, which he believes is his calling, to inspire people in positive ways.

A self-confessed talker he has used this talent to reach into the hearts of his readers. He allows them opportunities to peep fly-on-the-wall into his life and uses examples to encourage others to follow their dreams and be better people.

Cleverly he reveals how everyday life events can be altered to make them special, and how important it is to take time to share our lives with our loved ones. He encourages us all to discover ways to make our lives easier and more enjoyable, and reminds us that whether we are 18 or 80 it is never too late to make the most of your life and make it fun!

Always keen to engage in conversation, we are encouraged to contact him through his website, email, and other forms of social media and tell him what we think. He wants to know, whether the comment is good or bad.

No subject is taboo, and as long as no harm comes to anyone, we are motivated to enjoy all we can, from sex to food, wine, traveling, and much more. However, this book is not all light-hearted, the responsibility we have to do the right thing for ourselves, and to others is clearly emphasized. Written very much in the now, the subjects of racism and COVID 19 are discussed from a humanitarian standpoint, and the emphasis is very much on the need to look after each other, have thought and care for our neighbors and family, and be aware.

In a world where being online is expected he encourages his readers to turn off the screens, and iPhones, take time away from them and reconnect with the outside world, or read, or meditate, just take time for you, because you matter!

The power of this author’s positivity shines through in this life-changing book, and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to improve their lives and learn to enjoy every day to its full potential.

Let Go and Let God . . . and Then What? by Suzanne Mondoux

An incredible guide to discovering and healing your inner self.

What an incredible book this is! Within its pages the author somehow it manages to combine self-help, inner healing, be motivational, and inspirational. What’s more this book is suitable for all ages, genres, and professions, something I find unique.

Through the sharing of personal experiences with her reader, and the incorporation of a fictitious story about a cat called Delilah, her surroundings, and life, the reader is encouraged open their eyes to their world, look forward with a positive attitude, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.

From the moment we are ‘aware’ we absorb the information around us via other people. We learn, discover things about our world and environment, listen to the expectations and limitations others put on us. Now, through this enlightening book we each have the tools we need to unlock our dreams, reach our full potential, and then grow, taking one day at a time to discover the real us. We learn how to unburdening ourselves of the concepts and restraints of others, and truly become who we want to be.

From a very early age the author knew she had a strong affinity with the spirit world and animals. Her work has enabled her to recognise these gifts and her strength of character has led her to write her books. In fact her first published novel, How I Became a Dragon was inspired by her experiences whilst working in the Republic of Congo as Project Director for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in the Sangha Tri-National landscape.

However, as she points out, if you are searching for God and enlightenment, it is not hidden in these pages. The purpose of this book is to, through telling her story, and talking about poignant moments in her life, which have opened her eyes to her true self, she hopes to inspire her readers to do the same.

To aid in this, the book’s chapters focus on life experiences and at the end of each there is the opportunity for the reader to express their thoughts and experiences on each topic on the activity pages. These pages eventually combined to reveal their own unique journey. However, the author is keen to point out, our journey does not end there, because life is a continual adventure and the quest to discover new things about ourselves is constantly evolving each and every day.

In Conclusion: This book contains the key to opening your own mind into the possibilities which await you. Within, the author gives her reader the tools they require to move forward positively, with true self-belief, and the knowledge that they are 100% in control.

Memoirs of a Former Fatty: How one girl went from fat to fit by Gemma Dale

First off I have to say that I loved this book!

Having already lost some weight, but desperately needing to lose more, I was immediately drawn to this book’s title, and once I started reading it, I was hooked!

Gemma Dale writes her frank book from personal experience, or should I say experiences which she (sometimes bravely) shares no-holds-barred with her readers. She connects with them on every level, and it is refreshing, or perhaps worrying to discover that my thoughts and cunning sabotages aren’t unique to me, she has experienced them too!

From the very beginning, when she explains where she came from four years previous, weight wise, and emotionally, warts and all, her readers are made to feel quite at home. Her experiences as a ‘fatty’ whether in photos, comments, or occasions, are such that most of us who have been there can relate to.

From there she goes on to dispel some of the weight loss and diet plan myths, and explain that the simple fact is it is calories in v exercise which is the real ‘secret’ to losing weight.

She honestly admits that sometimes she doesn’t feel like exercise, and that there really is ‘no excuse’ for not being able to fit it in, “If you want something you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse.” This comment is so true that I have in fact put it as my screensaver, just in case I find it convenient to forget.

I so loved reading the content of this book, it is inspiring and so refreshing to read, especially since at the end she admits to not being perfect. I’ve even straight away downloaded her book ‘Be Your Own Wellbeing Coach,’ so motivated I feel from her words.

If you want motivation for your own weight loss journey, want to read a very human story, and have a laugh whilst learning some solid home truths about how we sabotage ourselves, or you just want a good read, then this is the book for you.

Health Happiness & Destiny Come from Wise Choices by Richard Ruhling

Keep this book close to your heart and it will be its protection for life, both physically and mentally.

Everyone, young, old, fit or unfit, will benefit greatly from reading this eye-opening book by Richard Ruhling, MD. Now retired, he graduated from Loma Linda University in California, and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health, is board-certified in Internal Health, and also was trained in cardiology before teaching Health Science at Loma Linda.

However, it was life experiences, and reading studies by the longevity and nutritionist Nathan Pritikin, who extolled the virtues of eating a low-fat, high-fibre diet, and other then revolutionary health professionals, which inspired him to change his lifestyle. It wasn’t long before the virtues these changes bought about were evident to him, and he was compelled to share these findings with others.

The emphasis is on you taking control of what you eat. It is your choice to make sure that you eat good quality, whole grain food, and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to keep you in the best health possible. Then on the flip side, he explains the dangers of consuming meat and fish. The sources of their hidden toxins are exposed, and these findings enable the reader to study the evidence for themselves, and realize how detrimental to health they are. These toxins will silently ravage the body, and eventually destroy us physically, in the manifestation of the terrible diseases such as diabetes, heart attacks, and cancer, which are now common in our society.

He also looks as smoking, and alcohol, examines their impact on our bodies and mental wellbeing, then offers helpful advice on how it is possible to overcome them.

As I read through the book I quickly realized how important the teachings of the scriptures are to the author. His faith and knowledge of the teachings, along with scientific findings, videos and article links, are used to provide powerful pointers, accentuating for the reader the important part they play in achieving total mind and body health.

In the latter part of the book, he examines in more depth the importance of a strong foundation of loving Christian family for children’s life is important, and that on these foundations a caring and humanitarian life can be sought.

In conclusion, in writing this book the author has quintessentially given his readers the tools they require, through examples and links, to take their destiny in their own hands and live a better and healthier life, however only they can do it.

About the Author:

At five years of age, Richard Ruhling told his father, “I want to be what you are, but why aren’t you a fireman?” So his dad took him on house calls in south St. Louis and his son saw that being a doctor was okay and people were appreciative.

After his MD and MPH, Ruhling taught Health Science at Loma Linda University which was gifted $40 million to learn why Seventh-day Adventists lived about seven years longer than their neighbors. Ruhling claims it’s what people eat that makes the body healthy or sick and most diseases are reversible if we are willing to eat more like vegans.

Ruhling agrees with Dr. Carson that Obamacare is the worse thing since slavery. His book, Why You Shouldn’t Ask Your Doctor, offers insights on eating as an obscure cause of many health issues because of delayed reactions. During yearly physicals, several executives told him that sugar, cheese or meat bothered their joints, but it’s not so easily seen by most people.

While teaching in the mid-70’s, Ruhling visited Pritikin’s Longevity Center and saw him reversing heart disease, high blood pressure and Type II diabetes with a low fat, low cholesterol diet and exercise, and his patients did better than those who took prescription drugs, but the American Heart & American Diabetic Associations did nothing to help Pritikin–no money in it for them!

Ruhling’s wife died from another MD’s prescription for a urinary infection and Ruhling visited US senators with medical literature showing that prescription drugs are a leading cause of illness and death. One senator said, “You are wasting your time–they own us,” speaking of drug company donations to their re-election campaigns.

Attending a non-denominational church, Ruhling asked the pastor if he could teach a class on prophecy. The pastor suggested that Ruhling go to the Adventist Church where they were more interested in prophecy. Ruhling didn’t tell him that he had attended an Adventist high school, college and medical school with Bible classes every semester, but he now had some differences with all denominations.

For example, he had a book submitted to Baker Book House before 9-11 saying the US would go to war with Iraq and Iran, based on Gabriel telling Daniel (8:17), his vision was for the end-times. Three verses later it explains the ram’s horns were the Medes & Persians. Now they are Iraq and Iran, but no denomination teaches this. More on this at IslamUSinProphecy.wordpress.com

Ruhling’s best selling Alpha & Omega Bible Code is based on the concept that where we find a word or phrase is first used in the Bible, it often has a meaning or context for the end-time because Christ is the Alpha & Omega, the First and the Last, and He is also the Word with a consistent meaning. His Kindle books are $2.99 and have mostly 4-5 star reviews.

His latest book, Turkey Soup for People who are Chicken about End-Times is subtitled, How 9-11 Points US to Judgment in 2019. It shows how judgment fell on Egypt for killing Israelite babies and how the US has aborted 60 million and enslaved most people in substance abuse and negative lifestyles. Christ said, “when you see Jerusalem compassed with armies” and we should see that sign this coming April, the month of Passover. A sudden calamity as in Egypt is expected like when God took Israel to a covenant and said, “I am married to you,” Jer 3:14 and the book offers insights to Christ’s wedding parables, not a rapture!

About the Book:

Richard Ruhling, MD graduated from Loma Linda University, a community featured in National Geographic (11/05) as the only ‘Blue Zone’ for health in N America. After a Master’s Degree in Public Health, he got Internal Medicine and was board-certified, also getting Cardiology training before teaching Health Science at Loma Linda. While there, National Institutes of Health was funding his school $40 million to learn why the community lived 7-11 years longer than other non-smoking groups. It’s about eating habits, which is an important aspect of this book.

At a cardiology convention, Ruhling heard Pritikin report how his diet helped reversed most diseases and 85% of patients got off drugs for blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. This was an awakening to real healthcare…

Medical care is not healthcare; it’s the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Adverse Drug Reactions make medical care the leading cause of death, but the media doesn’t report it, preferring to do ad$ for drug companies.

Ruhling confirms a UCLA study by Dr. Breslow that 7 health habits give a 30-year advantage over people who break all the rules. Health is a by-product of obedience to laws of the body.

Ball games are often won or lost in the last plays of the game. The game of life is similar–if we depend on drugs to relieve symptoms, we may die sooner or end in a nursing home where the average number of prescriptions are 9-13 and people are so spaced out they can stand in the hallway, filling they diaper and think everything is ok. We don’t have to go that way.

This book shows how food can be your best medicine and most diseases are reversible. This can empower us to be the captain of our own ship in important dimension of health.

I BELIEVE: I Am Courageous and an Explorer, Just Like Carlo and Teddy, Two Amazing Horses. Book 1 by Suzanne Mondoux

In this interactive colouring and activity book Carlo and Teddy the courageous horses encourage children to follow their dreams.

Sometimes it’s hard to be brave, it is much easier to stay where you are and be a loner. However not all children want to be like this, inside they dream of meeting new friends, and going amazing places. However, a lack of self-confidence and belief in themselves stops them. This is where this cleverly written children’s’ book can help.

You see, Carlo the horse thinks he is the only horse in the world. He dreams of making friends but doesn’t know how, until the day he decides to venture over the hills and valley and discovers Teddy. Teddy is another lonely horse who also thought he was the only one.

This is a very important day for the two horses, they make friends, and share a delicious lunch. Then they discuss the differences between them, discover where each other live, and what they like to do. Empowered the two friends decide to explore together and find other horses like them.

Children are encouraged to embrace the bravery of the two horses, and remember the rewards which come from being so courageous. The author invites them to draw a map of where they live, and then another of the world. On the world map, their experiences, hopes and dreams, friends they have etc. are expanded as they are encouraged to interact and let their imaginations fly. They are also encouraged to draw a map of the places they would like to go and see animals which they would like to know about, and the places people are helping them.

This story is inspirational for children and encourages them to feel proud of their accomplishments so far, and follow their dreams to go other places and meet new friends.

Self-belief is an important thing to cultivate in children and helps them in so many different ways. This is what the I BELIEVE series is about, giving practical tasks for children to do, as in this book, where the children are invited to draw maps of all their dreams for 30 days.

The affirmation children are encouraged to do at the end of the book to believe in themselves, and the encouragement they are given to be kind to animals, and in doing so make the world a better for everyone, are lessons which are vitally important to every child.

Engaging, interactive, and beautifully presented, the author, with the help of Carlo and Teddy, offers children valuable lessons on how to become more courageous, use their imagination, and follow their dreams.

One Pilgrim’s Tips, Tricks, Advice, Stories and Insights for the Next Pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago by Scott E. Bell

A truly inspiring and amusing guide to hiking the Camino de Santiago.

Confession time, I brought this book because I am longing to hike the Camino de Santiago and I wanted a honest to goodness, personal opinion of what it is really like to do this amazing walk.

I couldn’t have chosen a better book. The author Scott Bell somehow manages to encourage his readers to participate in the Camino whilst giving a warts ‘n all, no holds barred account of his own journey.

Scott starting his adventure at Saint Pied du Port in southern France, although there are various starting points. As we walk this beautiful, historical, journey with him he not only honestly gives his opinions on the sheer physical and mental strain which is put on the body, but he then offers advice on how to overcome them.

Of course on such a long route, accommodation is also very important, and the author discusses the various types of accommodation available, and the pros and cons of each, including some nasty little critters.

For some people the Camino is a spiritual journey, for others it gives them the time to find themselves, some are youth groups, friends, and others are families. During his travels he met and befriended many people from across the world, each with their own story, and reason for doing the Camino, and so human interest stories abound throughout the book.

The one overwhelming thing about this book is that it is truly one man’s journey, recounted with the purpose of helping others discover not only what they will need to undertake it, but also what they don’t need. The size of your backpack and weightiness of unnecessary gear is discussed and recommendations given by the self-named ‘snail’ of the route.

As the author says, the Camino de Santiago is different for each person, and during their journey that person will discover things about themselves they never knew before.

I found this book totally enthralling, and reading it, the author has inspired me to walk my own Camino when I can. I have to say though that even if you have no intention of doing the Camino, this book is jam packed with wonderful information about the villages and landscapes which the walk goes through and it is littered with historically interesting facts. – Highly Recommended!

About the Book:

So you’re thinking about walking the Camino de Santiago? Congratulations! This is the book you’re looking for.

This is not your typical travel guide. You won’t find lists of all the towns along the Camino, distances between them, recommended restaurants, tourist must-sees, yadda, yadda, yadda. There are plenty of good Camino guidebooks and apps out there for that. Nor is this a novel, diary, spiritual journal or reference manual. It is some of each… and a lot more!

Here you’ll find advice to enhance YOUR Camino. Practical stuff, like what to pack. What NOT to pack! Tips to keep you safe and healthy. Advice about carrying money. Key Spanish phrases. Stories to entertain you. I keep it light, I keep it simple, and I keep it real.

My experiences and insights on the Camino Francés will help prepare you for the Camino. But I don’t just want to prepare you to walk the Camino… I want to inspire you! My stories, after all, are MY stories, and my experiences are MY experiences. Your job is to get out there and create your own.

Your adventure awaits.

10 Stacks To Success: How to Achieve Success One Goal at a Time by Jerome Jay Isip

untitledMotivational and Inspiring.

Well if you’re wanting to become successful and looking for the way how, then I can’t think of anything better than this book.

Jerome “Jay” Isip is the author, and he gives the reader in this eye opening book, not only the tools to succeed in business and life, but also delivers a short sharp wakeup call to those who think that they might have already been trying.

I really loved this book because it is written from ‘real life’ experience, it doesn’t assume that the reader wants to spend hours at university or already has a degree. Neither does it suggest in any way the fact that it is necessary to have done both these things to get anywhere in life – how refreshing in this day and age! In his defence, I have to say, right here and now that the author does not criticize those who go down this path and acknowledges that for some professions these qualifications are necessary; however, this book looks at the opportunities there are for people who could not, or have not, either by choice or circumstance followed this path and yet still want to succeed.

In this very frank and straight talking book, the author uses his life, in many ways as an example of what not to do, and then shares with the readers how he managed to change the situations he found himself in, turning negatives into positives. A very important part of this book, is that he explains to the reader how to develop and use a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), and how with the use of positive affirmation it is possible to literally change your life. With a positive mental attitude nothing is impossible, and if you embrace the concept of positive affirmation you can feel invincible.

The really empowering thing about reading this book is, that he explains how your life and your ability to succeed is entirely in your hands, no-one else’s yours. All the way through you are given examples and encouraged to look inside yourself to succeed. Written with a no holds barred and a brutally honest attitude, the author enables you to see that any hurdles in your way are yours of the making, and brushes away any excuses you may feel like giving.

If you want to succeed in a career and/or your personal life this book is ideal for self-motivation. Written from first-hand experience, this is the most inspirational book I have ever read. The author’s ability to inspire is amazing, and as soon as I started it I could feel myself becoming empowered by his words.

10 Stacks To Success is this generation’s guide to understanding that there are no limits,” explains Isip. “Unleashing the power of your own creativity can be a challenge. But there is nothing more rewarding that rediscovering all of the potential you have had inside of you the whole time. More confidence, more understanding and more freedom than ever are yours for the taking. My book is the starting point for the lifestyle of your dreams.”
Isip says his book is especially important for people who are stuck in neutral and need inspiration and direction to discover their unique purpose in life.
Amazon Top 50 Reviewer Grady Harp says of 10 Stacks To Success that “He challenges us in a very positive but stern manner, inserts enough bawdy humor to keeps us turning the pages, and in the end makes us realize that Jay Isip really cares that we become what our potential suggests.”
About Jerome “Jay”  Isip A native of Belleville, NJ, and Filipino by birth, Jay Isip was a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter for 12 years, teaches a barbering class and operates a men’s salon, owns a fitness facility, investment relations firm, and is an app developer. The last goal he achieved as a measure of success was to write a book, 10 Stacks To Success, which was released in November 2014. How I Beat Self Sabotage And How You Can Too by Erica Snyder

 Very inspirational and self-motivating.

This book’s title caught my attention, I’d never really thought of my failure to carry through with things in the terms of self sabotage, but now I can see it is.

Written from firsthand experience, this author has, in the past overcome a myriad of problems.

In her frank way Erica opens up enabling us to understand how her problems arose in the first place, she then gives us the opportunity to discover the path she took to overcoming the hurdles, which we all use to self sabotage.

Within this very readable book are a series of strategies she has successfully used, explained in a way, which is easy to understand and put into practice anywhere.

I for one will be applying some of them in the future; after all I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Forgive To Win!: End Self-Sabotage. Get Everything You Want

Forgive to Win! by Walter Jacobson

Available in paperback and Kindle format.

Walter Jacobson has, in this book produced a clear recipe for self-help, through helping others.

He teaches us how our negative and cruel actions and comments to others are our subconscious way of sabotaging our attempts at self-healing, fuelling our negative feelings of self-loathing and guilt. He clearly explains how we use others’ misfortune to make excuses for ourselves, and that only by learning to be forgiving and kind to others can we find the way to forgive ourselves.

Clear examples are given of how it is possible to change for the better, helping others in so many ways, and, in return, helping ourselves.

The author has provided a very well thought out formula for self help, which he presents as the Forgiveness Diet.

The Forgiveness Diet, like any diet, is composed of various requirements for balanced healthy daily living. The amounts and composition, of the various constituents are explained in detail. Included, to help in the reinforcement of the diet, are affirmations, mantras, and visualizations. The author discusses dreams, their meanings, and how they can be used in a positive way.

This is no miracle cure. The author suggests the Forgiveness Diet be followed initially for 90 days, that the depth of healing will vary from person to person, and that the changes are for life. He advises how to cope with loved ones who are worried about the new you, and warns that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Eventually, you can progress to the Success Diet, which is an expansion enabling you to embrace your goals and ambitions.

What a perfect title. I feel this book could not fail to change anyone’s life for the better, and implementing the diet would definitely make them a nicer person to others and themselves.
